| | '…After the kingfisher's wing Has answered light to light, and is silent, the light is still At the still point of the turning world.' | |
| My work is an attempt to distil the essence of those moments of stillness and contemplation which transcend time. |
| The images form an exploration of the vital, ever changing, tension of existence; from the extreme delicacy and finely structured balance of microcosms formed by the petals of flowers to the vibrant beauty of vast landscapes which create vivid abstractions of rich, ephemeral, colour. |
| The work is concerned with that precious intensity generated by a sense of connection, defining beauty by being at the very heart of an image. |
| Ultimately, it is an attempt to create images with resonance; visual haiku which reverberate in the soul. |
| | 'Almost, death could come inevitable, unstrange as is this dusk and rain, and I should be no more myself, than raindrops glimmering in last light on black ash buds
or night beasts in a winter field.' | |
